This is the famous Pike Place Market, a public market overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront. It opened August 17, 1907, and is one of the oldest continually operated public farmers' markets in the United States. The market was named after its central street, Pike Street, and remains one of Seattle's most popular tourist destinations.

When I first saw it I thought "is that it?" But once I got in there I realized that the market has several lower levels with all kinds of shops. Antique, comic books, restaurants and so on. In the street level there are fishmongers, fruit and vegetable stands and craft stands.

I absolutely recommend a visit to Pike Place Market. I myself have been there a couple of times already and there is always something new to be seen.
