Let me tell you the story of these baby birds. There I was, sitting in the kitchen studying when I lifted up my head and saw, through the glass door, these two perching on the fence. They looked so cute together but at the same time they seemed a bit scared and acted like they were protecting one another. I ran upstairs to get my camera - fortunately came back in time to see their mother arriving to feed them, and along came the father (of course I am guessing the bigger ones were mother and father, but...) and started tweeting vigorously at them. It's a pity I couldn't catch on camera what came next - they did what looked like their first flight. It was a wonder!!! After the adrenaline rush they perched back on our fence and just rested for a looooong time. This happened on Thursday and they keep coming back to our fence ever since. Always together. Always very protective towards each other. Isn't Mother Nature the best mother ever?
