Seattle on a cold, rainy night - beautiful under any circumstance! This is the view from Kerry Park, probably my favorite spot in the city. Because it is on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill we are provided with an spectacular view of Downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay and the West Seattle peninsula. During the day we can even see Mount Rainier. There's a plaque on a wall here that says "Kerry Park [was] given to the City in 1927 by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr., so that all who stop here may enjoy this view". It is indeed deeply soothing. Either night or day, there's no way one can regret coming here. I never get tired of it... So, if you ever come to Seattle, check it for yourself!

So, the post you saw prior to this one was the first day of snow. It was nothing compared to the SECOND day. At this point I feel obliged to break my rule and post a picture where, not only do I appear, but I'm standing instead of sitting. Anyway, take a look at my street on Monday evening... It's a pity you can't see the color of the sky...it was a beautiful shade of violet. You guys have no idea of how much fun we had here with all the snow!!!

This one was taken a few hours earlier, Azulao (Bruna-movel) was not half as covered as it came to be later that evening.
After running around in the snow we decided to make a snowman, of course! Let me introduce you to Godofredo. Notice the cars behind him (I refuse to call Godofredo 'it'). Godofredo was biiiiig!!! Aaaaaannnnnnd...he was SITTING!!!

Last night I had a major insomnia crisis and could only fall asleep when it was almost day time. I woke up at about 09:30 feeling terrible. Went downstairs to get some breakfast and what I saw took my breath away. Yep, our first day of snow!!! It must have been around 1 degree C, the porch was covered but the birds would still come to feed from the bowl we put for them outside. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of our chubby birds but believe me, Mother Nature has delivered again! Praised be the Lord!

As some of you already know I volunteer in an animal shelter here in Lyynwood - PAWS. Every Friday morning, from 09 to 12 I walk the dogs. That's reason enough to make Fridays the best day of the week!!!

Anyway, as I hadn't really shown Autumn here I figured that this would be a good example - these are parts of the route where I walk those lovely lovely creatures!

As you all know I am here in Seattle, this amazing city! But unfortunately my dearest friends are very far from me. Nevertheless they wouldn't be my dearest friends if they didn't make efforts for me...as they did on Sept. 25, 2010 - Little and Carlos' wedding day. On that day I had gone to Portland, Oregon, but I had taken my laptop with me so I could try to watch the ceremony. After walking around in a shopping mall I finally found a quiet corner in Barnes and Nobles bookshop where I could plug in my computer and access my skype account. Back in Brazil everything was ready: Andrezinho's laptop, Duda's father-in-law's Internet stick, Fernando's patience to hold the computer the whole time, Jannine and Rangel in the band, my beautiful girls there... I couldn't have asked for more. And of course the bride and groom - who were absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you for being there for me. I love you all very much!
